Next weekend on Sunday, February 7, we'll have a full day of Drupal talks at the 10th edition of FOSDEM, Europe's biggest, free-est and open-est software conference.

FOSDEM, http://fosdem.org, is a free and non-commercial event organized by the community, for the community. Its goal is to provide Free and Open Source developers a place to meet. The Drupal project was granted a developer room at FOSDEM to do exactly that: to share knowledge about Drupal.

Das Leben eines SharePoint-Entwicklers ist bekanntermaßen beschwerlich und teilweise sogar richtig schrecklich. Aber wie heißt es so schön: "Nur die Harten kommen in den Garten".

Persönlich ist mir die FOSDEM etwas zu sehr für die Massen und nicht ganz meine Interessensrichtung. Alles in allem kann man aber nicht anders, als zu sagen: "Die FOSDEM ist eine tolle Sache!".

Das hat mich dann auch nicht daran hindern können mich kurz mit vielen Drupalern mal ein kuscheliges Ecklein zu suchen und noch etwas Smalltalk mit

u.v.a. mehr zu halten.

Die Diskussionen standen vor allem unter dem Stern der nächsten

• Drupal Conference Europa
• Drupal Initiative

Kaum ist das Drupal Camp vorbei, geht es auch schon wieder Richtung FOSDEM.

2 Wochen Nachbereitung Köln waren weg wie nichts und Videos sind immer noch nicht integriert. Zum Glück klappt aber der Austausch über das Drupal Center DACH.

Die http://www.drupal-initiative.de/ fordert auch ihren Tribut und geht weiter voran.

On January 17-18, I'll be in Germany to attend DrupalCamp Köln (aka DrupalCamp Cologne) and hang out with the German Drupal community. DrupalCamp Köln is organized by Thomas Narres, Daniel Niehaus, Jürgen Brocke, Torsten Zenk, Florian Latzel, and others in the Köln/Bonn users group.
