Getting Started with multilingual content in Drupal 6

This session is aimed at people who have already set up a Drupal site and know their way around Drupal. Ideally you have already created custom content types with CCK and created Views.

We'll explore the functionality Drupal 6 offers you to build a multilingual website.

We'll look at how to install a language pack to translate the Drupal CMS itself (called L10N - localization).

Finally we'll discuss how you can use the internationalization module (i18n) to publish your site's content, blocks and in different languages.

Internationalization and localization are broad topics - many days can be filled to discuss the fines nuances and possibilities of a multilingual approach. This session is aimed at people who have not yet worked with more than one language in Drupal.
